We manufacture customised, handcrafted railings from robust wrought iron. You can choose between various modern and classic designs, such as the Ancona, Belluno, Bologna or Lucca models, which are manufactured with a round handrail. If you prefer a more modern look, you can choose from the Padua, Perugia and Portofino models. These are manufactured with a solid, semi-circular handrail. For even more individuality on your balcony balustrade, there are various surface coatings available for all ELEO railings, fences and gates. This ensures that the balcony balustrade fits perfectly in terms of dimensions and blends in perfectly with the appearance of your property.

For optimum protection of your wrought iron balcony railing, we apply a durable surface coating. This is both visually appealing and functional. The iron is permanently protected against corrosion, retaining both its attractive appearance and its original stability and load-bearing capacity. Depending on your preferences and the requirements of the building site, you can choose from the following coating options:

Without coating, with natural patina
Powder coating in standard colour anthracite DB703
Powder coating in a RAL colour
Hot-dip galvanised with a silvery matt surface

Our powder coatings are applied using a duplex process. This means that the workpiece is first sandblasted and then a protective undercoat is applied using cathodic dip coating (KTL). The subsequent powder coating adheres excellently to this undercoat, providing long-lasting protection against corrosion and stone chips.

Wrought iron: the perfect choice for your metal balcony railing

Wrought iron is recommended as a material for your balcony railing for many reasons. It is significantly more stable and resilient than wood and aluminium and also requires less maintenance and care. This means that even after many years outdoors, a wrought iron balcony railing is still perfectly suited as a fall protection measure. Wrought iron can be easily shaped when heated, allowing for the creation of various designs and decorations. Although stainless steel offers similar properties to wrought iron, it is significantly more expensive and not suitable for all coatings.

Custom-made balcony railings

Only after you place your order do we handcraft your metal balcony railing to the dimensions you require. We will be happy to calculate the element widths and the number of posts based on your measurements. Due to legal requirements for fall protection, elements for balcony railings may not be wider than 200 cm and must have a minimum height of 100 cm in Germany. However, this height may vary from state to state or municipality to municipality. We kindly ask you to check with your local authority. The individual elements can be connected using posts, which we also custom-make to fit your balcony balustrade. The posts are available either for screw-on installation or for front mounting with or without a projection. To ensure that the posts and railings can be easily connected, we attach all connecting straps and drill holes at the factory. All drill holes are slotted holes, which allow for easy alignment during on-site installation. The required M8 x 25 mm screws are not included in the scope of delivery and must be purchased separately.

Our staff are available by telephone, live chat on our website or email to help you plan your balcony balustrade. We will take as much time as you need to plan your railing down to the last detail and clarify any questions you may have. It is important to us that you are satisfied and that the planned railing meets your requirements exactly. This service is free of charge for you. Once the planning is complete, we will send you a quote and, as soon as all the details have been clarified, a technical drawing. This will allow you to check all the details again at your leisure. Only when you have approved the quote and drawing will we start manufacturing your balcony balustrade.
