Double swing gate or single swing gate?
When purchasing a fence gate, there are two basic types to choose from: double-leaf gates and single-leaf gates. Which type is right for you depends on the conditions on site. For a wide driveway, a double-leaf gate or a sliding gate is usually the better choice. Dividing the gate into two leaves makes swing gates more flexible to use. This means that you only need to open one leaf when you come home on foot, by bicycle or by scooter. These models are also more visually appealing and are available in many different designs.

Wrought iron: the premium material for gates
Our double gates are not made from just any metal, but from high-quality steel. The solid wrought iron is particularly strong and therefore virtually indestructible. At the same time, it is easy to work with and can be coated if required. You can do this yourself on untreated models: we recommend a high-quality metal protective paint.
Advice: We won’t leave you on your own!

Questions and answers about our double gates
The purchase of a gate requires careful consideration and planning. You will find detailed information on our information pages on custom-made products. We answer any questions you may have here.
Can I order my double gate with an asymmetrical division?
This is usually possible without any problems. Restrictions may only apply to curved models. When requesting a quote, it is best to describe your ideas as precisely as possible and provide a sketch, and we will then consult with you if necessary.
Can privacy screening be integrated into the entrance gate?
We also offer a wide selection of privacy gates and doors! Discover our entrance gates with your desired pattern.
Some of the classic models also feature privacy panels at the bottom of the gate in addition to bars and spikes.
How much do double gates cost?
Less than sliding gates – the reason for this is that double swing gates can be installed without foundations. Especially if fence posts are already in place, you can install swing gates at low cost and with minimal materials. The exact price depends on the model and the desired coating. Uncoated double-leaf gates are the cheapest, while powder-coated versions in a special colour are the most expensive.
What is a hot-dip galvanised double gate?
Swing gates with this surface treatment, whether small garden gates or wide double swing gates, are coated with an iron-zinc alloy that is particularly weather-resistant. The corrosion protection has a discreet appearance and lasts for decades without you having to worry about it. If you are looking for easy-care, durable and robust weather protection, this is the best choice.
How do I install a double swing gate?
For installation, you will need sturdy brick or steel posts – we will be happy to supply the latter together with your gate. Installation is carried out in 6 steps. Details can be found in our detailed assembly instructions:
- Drill the holes for the hinges or, in the case of small double-leaf gates, for the eye bolts in the posts.
- Dig the holes for the posts.
- Insert the first post and position the others.
- Attach the first gate wing.
- Place the second post.
- Install the accessories.

What is included in the delivery?
Our double swing gates are supplied ready for installation with all necessary mounting materials such as hinges, neck collar straps and screws. You can also order locking cylinders, handle sets and door holders as additional accessories.
How long are the delivery times for your double gates?
You will usually receive your customised gate within 12 to 16 weeks of placing your order. If you need it sooner, we also offer express production, which takes around six to eight weeks.
Can the gates be equipped with an electric drive?
Of course! Our gates are compatible with all standard gate operators. You need a separate operator for each wing so that both can open. This allows you to drive onto your property without leaving your car using the remote control. Access control can also be integrated.
