What are the costs of a new fence?

The cost of a fence depends on the material used, such as metal, wood, or plastic, as well as the fastening method. As a general rule, a standard property fence with an average height of up to 90 cm is cheaper than a privacy fence with an average total height of 170 to 190 cm. In addition to the width and height of the individual fence panels, the number of posts must also be taken into account when determining the purchase price. There are different options here too: The posts can be embedded in concrete, anchored directly into the ground, or mounted on a garden wall. Additional installation costs may also be incurred if you outsource this work to a specialist.

If you choose a wooden or plastic fence, you should also expect follow-up costs. These materials lose their weather resistance over time, which is why the fence must be regularly treated with a protective coating, among other things. With a coated metal fence, however, you can skip this work: The fence receives a long-lasting protective coating from the start. This allows the fence to withstand even major weather fluctuations unscathed for many years.

Due to their extremely high weather resistance, ELEO Zaun only offers metal fences. We deliberately avoid manufacturing aluminum fences. One reason for this is that the alloys used in aluminum products can vary considerably depending on their intended use, but these have not been adequately sorted to date. This results in significant quality losses in the subsequent recycling process, resulting in a significantly worse environmental impact. This problem does not exist with the hot-dip galvanized steel used by ELEO, for example, as it is characterized by a very long service life of at least 50 years. The resulting products can also be dismantled and reassembled multiple times, and the material does not experience any loss of quality even after multiple recycling cycles.

How is a fence attached?

ELEO’s fence elements can either be attached to existing posts – for example on a brick wall – or you can choose our posts for setting in concrete or screwing on, which you can order directly. Our customer service will be happy to advise you on the number of posts required for your fence system.

How high can a fence be?

In Germany, the regulations regarding property fencing are generally defined in the German Civil Code (BGB) and specifically by the individual federal states. If in doubt, you can contact the relevant authorities in your municipality, such as the building or regulatory authority, before planning.
