Note:

Many of our customers take the measurements themselves or ask a local tradesman to do it for them. You can illustrate the measurements with a simple sketch. If you have any questions about the process, we are happy to advise you.

There are various distances that play a role in measuring. But don’t be put off by the terminology; we’ll explain what they mean and which dimensions are important for you.

Total distance
The total distance describes the width of the fence, gate, and railing system, including posts and mounting distances.

Clear width and clear width
The terms clear width and clear width are synonymous. They describe the direct distance between two posts.

Since our products are attached using slotted holes, eyebolts, and mounting plates, it is important to include a mounting distance. Depending on the product range, product-specific distances must be deducted from the clear measurement. You can find these in your individual quotes.

Our fence systems can generally be adapted to slopes or inclines. However, the production of such custom designs requires precise measurements, which should include information on the slope or incline in degrees, percent, or centimeters.
