Q: Can I order any size for my metal fence gate from you?

We manufacture your fence gate in a standard total width of 160 to 400 cm, and garden gates in 80 to 200 cm. You can specify the height between 50 or 70 to 200 cm. Other dimensions are available on request and at an additional cost. We will be happy to check your special dimensions and let you know whether we can meet your requirements. For curved and arched gates, a height difference of 10 cm per metre of element width is possible.

What is important when choosing fence gates?

Depending on the desired passage width and the available swivel space for the gate wings, we recommend a suitable entrance solution for your property fencing. We stock fence gates in all sizes, from compact garden gates to courtyard gates several metres wide. When making your selection, please note the following points:

Width and number of wings

A single-leaf gate is sufficient for narrow passageways. This makes it easy to integrate access into the fence at the back of your garden, for example. A double-leaf gate is a good choice for the driveway. Unlike a sliding gate, it does not require a foundation and is therefore inexpensive to install. If necessary, extend your driveway gate with a pedestrian gate to create a three-leaf fence gate.

Wavy, straight, curved, asymmetrical or U-shaped: choose the shape of your metal fence gate as you wish and combine fences and gates to create a seamless enclosure. Unlike plastic or wood, a metal fence gate made from this material will last a lifetime – without the need for annual repainting. Weather-resistant surface finish

A coating not only protects the fence and metal fence gate from wind and weather, but also gives them an attractive appearance. Hot-dip galvanised fence gates have a bright, shiny colour when new, which darkens to a silvery matt finish. With this alloy coating, you will never have to worry about rust again.

A powder coating is just as corrosion-resistant and can be customised. In addition to anthracite (DB703) – with an attractive iron mica effect – we offer special colours in a RAL shade of your choice.

When deciding on a new garden or driveway gate, a number of questions arise. We encounter many of these repeatedly in our contact with our customers. Here you will find the answers.

When will I receive my metal fence gate?

Once you have placed your order with us – which can be done easily by email – we will send you an order confirmation. After receiving a deposit of one third of the order value, we will coordinate the technical drawing of your fence gate with you and begin production. Depending on the seasonal order volume, we deliver within 12 to 16 weeks, or within six to eight weeks for express production.

Which and how many posts do I need?

You can attach our fence gates to existing steel or masonry posts, or order steel posts for setting in concrete or screwing on. Depending on the type of gate, the posts measure 5 x 5 or 10 x 10 cm. We will be happy to calculate the number of posts required for you when you make your enquiry.

How deep should I set the posts for my fence gate in concrete?

The posts for metal fence gates should be set in concrete to a depth of at least 60 cm for optimum stability. A minimum depth of 50 cm is recommended for garden gates. It is best to use quick-drying concrete for filling. Garden gates can also be installed with screw-on posts. In this case, the drilling depth and type of fastening depend on the substrate.

How do I install a metal fence gate?

The first step is to drill the holes for the hinges in the posts. We deliberately deliver our steel posts without pre-drilled holes so that you can optimally compensate for uneven ground. Then insert the posts and attach the gate leaves or garden gate. Finally, install the accessories such as locks, strike plates, lock cylinders, hold-open devices and handle sets. If you do not wish to install your gate yourself, we would be happy to recommend a local craftsman with whom we have been working for many years and whom you can commission to carry out the work.

Can my fence gate be fitted with a gate opener?

Yes, you can easily equip our double swing gates with an electric gate operator. You will need one operator per gate leaf. We recommend purchasing a set that includes an external antenna, signal lamp and remote control. If security is important to you, we recommend a model with access control.
