Your own garden, terrace and balcony are wonderful retreats that invite you to relax. Whether you want to read a book in peace, enjoy a glass of wine or spend an evening with friends, privacy screens help to protect your privacy so that you can enjoy your leisure time undisturbed.
Privacy screens not only keep prying eyes away from your private oasis of well-being – they are also very decorative and add a stylish touch to your garden, patio and balcony.
ELEO offers exclusive privacy screens that can be used as fencing for your garden or as railings for your balcony or terrace.
A privacy fence is an attractive and practical alternative to a traditional garden fence. It clearly marks the boundary of your property, protects your privacy and is also an exceptionally beautiful eye-catcher that blends harmoniously into your garden design.
The same applies to our privacy screens for balcony railings. These special privacy screen elements are mounted on matching posts and meet all the requirements that a balcony railing must fulfil – stability, safety, support. In addition, they provide effective protection against prying eyes and impress with their exceptional designs that enhance the appearance of your balcony.
Rienza privacy fence – powder-coated anthracite
Pesa privacy fence – uncoated Corten steel
ELEO’s high-quality privacy fences and privacy railings are elaborately handcrafted. Thanks to the high material quality and weather resistance, our privacy elements score points for their exceptional durability.
Our privacy fences are available in weatherproof, exclusive Corten steel or metal, which is powder-coated using a high-quality duplex process. You can choose anthracite in RAL colour DB 703 or specify a colour of your choice.
All our privacy railings are made of sturdy metal. Here, too, you can choose whether you want the powder coating in anthracite or in a custom colour using the duplex process.
While privacy screens made of wood or WPC are susceptible to wind and weather and require intensive maintenance, metal and Corten steel are impressively resistant. They also retain their attractive appearance for years – unlike wood and WPC, which quickly show signs of weathering.
Corten steel is particularly impressive in terms of appearance. The weather-resistant structural steel forms a special, effective barrier layer of rust, which develops in various shades of colour. Over time, this patina renews itself repeatedly and changes from red to gold to brown tones depending on the incidence of light. As Corten steel can rub off in combination with high humidity, we recommend that you additionally seal your privacy fence with a colourless varnish.

A privacy screen provides more privacy in your own garden – but what are the legal requirements? The permissible height and distance regulations for privacy screens are not uniformly regulated and vary depending on the federal state, municipality and neighbourhood law. Here you can find out what generally applies and where you can obtain binding specifications.
In most cases, the permissible height for privacy screens is between 1.70 and 1.90 metres. However, legal requirements may vary depending on the federal state, region or municipality. Local building regulations determine what height is permitted and whether a permit is required.
The permissible total height of a privacy fence facing the street varies depending on local regulations. In many municipalities, a maximum height of 1.80 m is permitted. However, local regulations may vary, so it is advisable to check with the local council or the relevant building authority for specific regulations. In addition, the privacy screen must not obstruct the line of sight for traffic in order to ensure road safety.
Your neighbour cannot usually prohibit you from installing privacy screening, provided that legal requirements are met. These relate in particular to height and minimum distance, which vary depending on the federal state and municipality. Often, heights of 1.70 to 1.90 metres are permitted, with a minimum distance of 50 cm from the property boundary. It is advisable to consult with the building authority. In addition, early consultation with your neighbour will help to avoid conflicts.
